WINNERS UPDATE: I had to do a re-draw for 2 Ambajam blankets AND the Leapfrog Leapster 2 because I did not hear back from the original winners. The new Leapfrog Leapster 2 winner is comment #89, Titi. The 2 Ambajam winners are #137, Pam, and #259, Chrissie. I apologize there’s no random.org Flickr image to prove it, but the reason is because it initially generated #137 and another winner who left a junk mail address. It was someone I don’t know, and who doesn’t have a blog, so I am considering that a non-working email address…hence, I had random.org choose a new winner and that was #259, Chrissie! To the new winners, please email me as soon as possible.
First, I just want to let everyone know that the LeapFrog Leapster is still unclaimed! 2 of the 5 Ambajam mini-cuddles are unclaimed as well. If the winners do not contact me by Saturday morning, I will use random.org to draw new winners and will announce them Saturday afternoon.
Ok, now for the exciting stuff…
11th Day of Christmas Winners (North Star Games): GRAND PRIZE WINNER (wins Cluzzle, Say Anything, and Wits & Wagers) is Lisa, # 63. Here’s what North Star’s Luke had to say about her comment:
Lisa #62 has the best story. It is game related, and does a wonderful job of showing cross generational differences. My grandmother on my mom’s side was matter of fact, even if classy, and grew up on a farm and lived through the Depression and WW!!. She certainly was not going to stand on formality. My mom, on the other hand, grew up post war and is quite proper. I could totally see that scene play out in my family. So I really felt that story nailed the difference between those two generations.
He and I also agreed that Ann, #53 also had a hilarious story, so Luke was generous enough to award her Wits & Wagers!
Random.org also generated the following numbers as our North Star Games winners:
- #24, Angela Asch
- #142, Pamela White
- #101, Diana G (who also told a story that cracked me up, btw!)
- #54, Sue, who I’m so excited won because it led me to her blog, where I discovered they JUST (yesterday) had their G&R for their adorable baby boy in Vietnam! Congrats Sue and Mark, he’s adorable.
- #31, Stephanie
- #77, Tara N, who is super lucky because this is her 2nd win (although the 1st was for telling a hilarious story in the Diaper Dude contest!)
If anyone wants to verify the winners, you can look at the Flickr Album for “Giveaways,” which has all the random.org screenshots. Winners, please contact me as soon as you can. Merry Christmas everyone!!

Here’s the email I got from David “The Kegman”:
We were touched by the entries to the Kegerator contest. Tell your readers we read every one and it was such a tough choice that we had to pick the final winners out of a hat. We picked twelve responses for final selection. The Grand Prize winner is Sharyn, #47, The second place prize goes to Jen, #61, and the Seltzer bottle goes to Jennie, #10. Tell everyone that we would like to send them a 5% off coupon. We hope all your readers have a great holiday. - David “Kegman”
The DIAPER DUDE contest was a RIOT. If you want a good laugh, go read those comments; people had some FUNNY poop / diaper stories! I narrowed it down to my 6 favorites, then read them aloud and had other people help me pick. Liz, comment #70, had us rolling so we had to choose her! Thank you all for your hilarious submissions. Because there were so many awesome comments, I’m giving the other finalists each a small prize that will make great stocking stuffers from some really neat companies that have sent me samples…
To Tara N (#12), I hope the little boy you nanny with “Big Red” can use these Crayon Rocks:
Emily (#40), I hope Eva and her baby with the fire butt can use these goodies from RazBaby:

Ashriel (#34), I know Miss S will be precious in these Baby Legs:

The patterns are super cute, and the Spa Terry Booties (shown above) are made of the softest material ever. The booties pull on, so they’re quick and easy, and nestle the foot and ankle inside very soft lining.
ACORN slippers are THE. BEST. LOUNGING SHOES. EVER. In fact, Jackson loves his “Fuzzy Wuzzies” so much that he often insists on wearing them to bed. That’s not a battle we choose to fight, plus, they’re comfy and keep his feet warm (since he refuses to sleep under a blanket), so we let him.
So here’s the deal, 3 lucky winners will have their pick of any pair of kids’ shoes on ACORN’s website. So get shopping! Visit the site, then come back and tell us what kids’ shoe you’ll choose (style/color) off their site if you win. Earn an extra entry for blogging, twittering, chatting, facebooking, or listing this giveaway - then drop a comment to let us know where you spread the word! Maximum of 3 entries per person total. Winners will be chosen by random.org on December 18th.

North Star Games brings to 4 you, a lot of laughs and family fun:
I grew up in a large, close-knit family, and game nights have always been a big hit in my parents’ home. We’re just dorky like that. Even as adults, my siblings, our families / significant others, and our parents still have game nights when we’re home for the holidays, and they’re always a blast. We laugh so hard I always pee my pants someone always pees his/her pants at least once! When I looked into this year’s hottest new games, I found North Star Games, the makers of Wits & Wagers, Cluzzle, and their newest game, Say Anything.
Since we spent the weekend in Keystone (enjoying that Halloween photo contest win on milehighmamas.com that gave us free lodging!) with our good friends Larry and Kyndra (& their 3 year old, Cassidy). We busted out Wits & Wagers, a game that’s won tons of awards, to test it out and we had an absolute blast.
Guessing stuff like how tall the largest recorded giraffe stood, then betting on whose answer was most right (without exceeding the true value), it’s a trivia game that doesn’t really require you to be a trivia buff. Just a good guesser, confident bluffer (Travis), or someone who recognizes the person who might know a particular answer. Our collective review: the game is awesome.
I’m dying to get together with some girlfriends and play Say Anything - it’s the ultimate ‘Girls’ Night’ game, but I think it’d be really fun to play as couples or with my adult brothers and sisters even. Cluzzle is a sculpting game with a very different spin. The sculpting card in Cranium was always my fav, so I think I’m going to love Cluzzle! And actually, Cluzzle is rated as the #1 drawing and sculpting game of all-time, above Pictionary AND Cranium. I can’t wait to play it with my family over the holidays.
North Star Games is sponsoring this awesome giveaway, and any of these games would make a great family Christmas gift. Actually, I’m hoping none of my siblings are reading this, as one of these just might make it’s way into our White Elephant gift exchange this year! Here’s the deal for this giveaway contest…there will be 4 winners. Yes, FOUR WINNERS! 3 winners will be selected by random.com, and will each receive 1 of these games. The 4th winner will be picked by Luke, from North Star Games, for having the favorite answer to this prompt: SHARE AN OUTRAGEOUS CHRISTMAS STORY. Make us laugh guys! The person with the winning response wins ALL 3 NORTH STAR GAMES!! So if you don’t have a story to share, but want a chance to win a fun game, drop us a comment. You can earn 1 extra entry by blogging, twittering, facebooking, or chatting on a group about this contest. If you want a shot at winning via random.org AND give yourself the chance to win all 3 games if your comment is selected, tell us an outrageously funny Christmas story. Winners will be chosen December 18th!

Precious Ponchos brings to you a super cute way to get out of the house fast! The idea behind Precious Ponchos is that they are blankets you can wear, just throw ‘em over your kids’ heads with no hassle, and out the door you go!
I’m finding these to be really useful for stroller walks, throwing the kids in the Radio Flyer to walk around the zoo, running out to the mailbox, and hurried trips on chilly days. Look how cute Finley and Shane look modeling their Precious Ponchos:
Precious Ponchos is sponsoring this giveaway and allowing the winner to choose. So visit the site and drop a comment before Dec. 17th telling us what poncho you’ll choose if you win. Earn up to 3 entries total for blogging about this, twitter it, facebook it, or chat about it on a group. Drop those comments to let us know where you spread the word! Winner will be chosen by random.org.

It includes the Navy messenger style bag, the mini-dude, and a navy water bottle holder:
Travis has wanted his own gear FOR.EV.ER. Merry Christmas Travis! You deserve your own Dad pack! All good dads do! This may not be the kegerator, but it’s a pretty cool gift for any new dad - functional, hip, and in some weird way, having a Daddy diaper bag sort of validates a dad’s importance and role as caregiver. Why should Travis have to tote my diaper bag around when he takes the kids to the park, store, mall, or wherever?! Now he has his own, he knows his way around it, it has all his man gear inside (well, I guess that’s pretty much just sunglasses!). Plus, I think he looks pretty sexy strutting around confidently with his Diaper Dude gear.
Let’s make this one a contest…share your funniest diaper-related story. Winner will be chosen December 17th!

As many of your might remember, Melissa from Tiny Tags sponsored a very popular giveaway several months ago. I asked her if she’d be a sponsor again during our 12 Days of Christmas because her jewelry makes such an incredible gift for a mom, daughter, grandmother, aunt, friend, sister, wife, YOURSELF, etc., and was thrilled when she agreed! She has added a few gorgeous pieces to her collection that I would like to highlight. Her additions include a Little Girls Heart Pendant Bracelet that can have 1 initial stamped with block or beautiful curly font. Melissa made one for Finley with the curls font and it’s absolutely stunning. Here’s an example:
She also added a Little Girls Necklace that comes with a name disc, like the adult version but on a smaller chain, or a an initial on a heart pendant, and she has cutesy little charms to add as well. Both necklaces would be super cute for a little girl:
Melissa hand stamps names, initials, dates, words of hope or inspiration on a sterling silver disc, oxidizes, buffs and polishes them. The sterling silver ball chain is durable, casual, but elegant enough it can be dressed up as well. I just love this jewelry! Here’s an example of an adult tag necklace and the jewelry bag and polishing fabric it comes with:
Tiny Tags jewelry makes a great gift - Melissa packages everything beautifully and has a really pretty card she includes with a personal message. Tell your husbands…mom and daughter necklaces make great gifts! Melissa has generously offered the 1st winner of this giveaway a Tiny Tags original disc necklace with 2 stamped discs (additional discs will be a small charge - see website for pricing), and the 2nd winner the Little Girls Necklace (winner’s choice of the heart initial pendant or the name disc).
If you don’t win this giveaway but still want a piece of jewelry from TTD, use the promo code TTD006 and you’ll get 20% off! ALL ORDERS MUST BE PLACED BY 12/15 TO ENSURE DELIVERY BY 12/24 VIA STANDARD SHIPPING.
To enter this contest, drop a comment before December 17th telling us something about the necklaces you’ll customize if you win 1 (what will be stamped, what pendant will you choose for the little girl in your life, etc.). Winner will be chosen by random.org. 1 Extra entry per person if you blog about this, facebook it, twitter about it, list it on a contest site, or chat about it on a yahoo group. Maximum of 2 total entries per person, leave a valid email address and have a US or Canadian shipping address.

Holly G and her KICK-ASS BOWS bring to you…
Just look how cute these are on our little models, Finley and her buddy, Scarlett:
The cutest, most creative custom bows in all the world, and the opportunity to win a membership to the Year of Sprites. This would mean you would receive one of Holly G’s unique bow creations EACH MONTH for a WHOLE YEAR (retail value $100-110). I can’t think of a better stocking stuffer for a little girl (or her totally bow-obsessed mom) than that membership…or a whole ton of Holly G bows. Actually, Travis is getting a sweet University of Florida bow for Finley in his stocking and he’s seriously going to LOVE it. 10% of Kick-Ass Bows’ proceeds goes to the Global Orphan Team, a humanitarian organization that works in Guatemala. So deck your little girl out and feel good about it because the purchase of Kick-Ass Bows is improving the lives of orphans in Guatemala. You may earn up to 4 entries per person for this contest! Winner will be randomly selected and announced December 17, so leave your comments with a valid email address before then. The contest rules are below.
You can also earn extra entries for doing any of the following: blog about this contest, put it on your facebook, twitter, talk about it on any other yahoo group, networking site, or sweepstakes/slickdeals/giveaway sites (as long as it’s not already listed there). Just drop another comment telling us where you spread the word. You may earn up to 4 TOTAL comments / entries per person.

UPDATE: contest extended until 12/17
Ali, who ROCKS, from Ambajam gives to 5 of you:
The softest blankie in the entire world! Yup, FIVE lucky winners of this contest will get an Ambajam mini-cuddle this Christmas. It’s Finley’s absolute 2nd favorite thing in the universe to snuggle with (right after ‘The Girls’), and she won a hard fought battle against Jack to make this blankie her own. Don’t feel bad for him, his consolation prize was the bigger version, the Cuddle Up, which he drags everywhere (making an excellent case for buying your kids 1 of each - the big one for bedtime cuddling, the mini version for cuddling on-the-go!):
Ambajam sponsored a giveaway on this blog months ago, and since it was such a big hit with everyone, including me, I’m naming the mini-cuddle as a top Christmas gift or stocking stuffer for anyone out there who still hasn’t found the perfect blankie. Stop looking; THIS. IS. IT. Seriously, hands down the best thing that has ever brushed across your skin. Trust me. As Ambajam’s holiday slogan goes, ’tis the season to cuddle-up!!
Check out Ambajam’s mini-cuddles and tell us what color you’ll choose if you win! Drop your comment here before we choose the 5 winners on December 16th. Blog about it, twitter it, facebook it, write about it on a chat group, or list it on a sweepstakes site or slickdeals for a 2nd entry (don’t forget to come back and tell us where you spread the word in your 2nd comment). US and Canadian entries only. 2 entries total per person, and don’t forget to use a valid email address!

UPDATE: contest extended until 12/17
Need to save your marriage? Your sex life? Improve your dart score? Your dancing? Ok, I’m totally joking, but seriously, if any of you out there want to join me on the podium to receive the “Wife of the Year” award, I’m happy to share it. All you have to do is enter to win this contest or just go buy this as a gift for yourself husband, and I assure you that award is IN. THE. BAG.
The BEST Christmas gift for dad is…drumroll please…a Custom Kegerator Conversion Kit, retail value $150!! In case you’re as clueless as I was, it’s a kit that transforms any old mini fridge, fridge, chest freezer into something that stores a keg inside and allows you to have beer on tap. Cold, delicious, draught beer in your home (or garage, as the case may be). Depending on how you want yours set-up, this is an example of what I’m talking about:
Seriously, I dare you to round-up a group of guys and ask them their dream Christmas (or Father’s Day) gift. When I did that, kegerators were at the top of that list! I’ve always rolled my eyes at Travis when he begged for one, mostly because I didn’t know how to go about buying one for him. Fear not fellow-clueless-spouses-who-want-that-award-but-have-no-interest-in-doing-anything-X-rated-to-get-it. This is your chance.
KEGMAN is sponsoring this contest,
and David has been a pleasure to work with, extremely generous, and maintained excellent patience talking to an adult who asks as many questions as a 1st grader. KegMan makes draught beer, wine, seltzer, and soda equipment, along with some great Dad stocking stuffer ideas if you’re not in the market for something quite as fun big as a kegerator or conversion kit. Check out this fun thing called the BrewTender,
which is a beverage cooling and serving system, awesome for hosting parties, even kids parties (they love the self-serve feature) - it has a tap and an insulator center for ice so the meltdown doesn’t water down whatever drink you’re serving (iced tea, juice, punch, beer, etc.).
David from KegMan has agreed to provide the winner any help they need getting their custom kegerator up and running (although if you ask Travis, he says it’s not terribly difficult to put the kit together). He is also offering a 2nd and 3rd place prize for this contest!! The 2nd place prize is a Draught Tower (part number 8655):
and the 3rd place winner will receive Seltzer bottle and chargers - make your own Sparkling Juice (part number 2244):
ADDITIONALLY, KegMan is offering a 5% discount coupon to all who enter this contest! Let’s have some fun with this one…here’s the prompt your comment must answer:
Why should you win this? Plead your case, tell us your story, convince us you need this:)
David will be selecting our winners and we will announce them on December 16th.
